Hi, I'm Simina.
Strategic researcher with a technical background. I turn research into decisions teams act on, and I build the AI systems that help them do it.
Driving business value through research and strategy: helping teams decide what to build, and checking afterwards what changed.
About me
I'm a self-taught strategic researcher crafting simple and effective solutions for complex systems.
Before I found my passion for product design, I spent a good part of my 20s learning how to code. But I realised life's too short to do something that wasn't bringing me any joy.
My transition was unconventional. To add a little spice to my technical background, I did my master's degree in Graphic Design and several courses on User Experience and User Experience Research.
Today I lead research at 8x8, where I built Caela, an AI research system that PMs, directors and designers use to get answers from research.
I work closely with PMs, designers and leadership.
My values
I do my best work when I love what I do, and I look for passionate people to build with.
I keep taking on challenges that help me grow, and I learn from the design community and give back by sharing what I know.
Learning curves, failures and discomfort are part of it. I stay curious and optimistic, and I try to have fun.
Empathy and kindness go a long way. I take time to understand different perspectives and build towards inclusion and respect.
